Empathy

I strive to understand what motivates students and to meet them where they are. I want students to view me as their ally, to know that I'm on their side. We build consensus on how much homework they want to do (and you'd be shocked how often they ask for more). I'm also a positive reinforcement machine - I'm constantly looking for ways to praise my students and help them recognize their own growth.

Enthusiasm

I bring as much enthusiasm to teaching the SAT/ACT as Bill Nye brings to teaching science. Even if I might not get your kid to like the SAT/ACT (although, again, you'd be shocked how often that happens), I'll bring enough energy that they can't help but stay engaged.

Experience

I've been coaching the SAT/ACT from the moment I graduated high school in 2011. Over the last 10 years, I've seen it all. There's no question on the SAT or ACT that I don't know how to do, and I can explain each concept a half dozen different ways. I've worked with 1000+ of students, including over 50 that have scored in the 98/99th percentile (perfect or near perfect scores).
