COLLEGE ESSAY

Programs FAQs

FAQ #1: How should i schedule my student's college application sessions?

We recommend scheduling sessions once or twice a week, starting as soon as possible. The key is to allow enough time for students to write/edit their essay drafts between each session.

FAQ #2: Do you assist with filling out the applications online?

At BEYOND, we strive to provide high-quality, ethical college application programs. It is our belief that students should fill out the online applications themselves. It's their application, and students themselves should write every word & check every box. While you might be concerned about filling in the applications correctly, most applications have extensive FAQ videos to help students understand how to fill details in correctly. We encourage students to be accurate & honest in all fields of their college applications.

FAQ #3: Do you offer college advising services before Senior year?

Absolutely! BEYOND assists students as early as the 8th grade (although the process picks up in earnest in the Junior/Senior year). If you'd like to plug into the BEYOND family, the best way to start is to schedule a virtual introductory meeting. We might be able to answer all of your immediate questions in that free meeting!

FAQ #4: We're just looking to book a few sessions for feedback on our the essay drafts our student has already written. Do you offer that?

We do recommend that students, even if they've already drafted their essays, take a full BEYOND College App Program. However, if you would like to book college application support hour-by-hour, you can contact us for details & pricing.

FAQ #5: Do you help with crafting college lists & selecting college majors?

Yes! If you'd like support for these parts of the college application process, schedule a free introductory meeting so we can discuss how I can help.

FAQ #6: Do you offer support for FAFSA & College Financial Planning?

Not yet, but BEYOND hopes to expand into a one-stop company for all of your college planning needs. Greg has a solid grasp on the financial aid process & resources for estimating college costs. However, he has not yet guided families through this process. If you're interested in meeting with Greg to discuss your college finances (knowing that it is not yet an area of expertise), Greg would be open to working through the process with interested families this year. If this sounds right for you, contact us.
